HarbourVest Partners has appointed Brian Taranto as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Global Private Wealth. In this newly created role, he will oversee key initiatives across client operations, technology, finance, strategic projects, and risk management. He will support the continued growth of HarbourVest’s global private wealth business and work closely with Venu Krishnamurthy, Head of Global Private Wealth.
Taranto brings more than 30 years of experience across wealth management, asset management, and financial services operations. He joins HarbourVest after leadership roles at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, where he served as Chief Operating Officer of Investment Solutions and led initiatives across product, platform, risk, and operating strategy. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at Merrill Lynch and Bank of America.
