Carol Barsotti Appointed CMO at The Raley’s Companies

The Raley’s Companies has appointed Carol Barsotti as Chief Marketing Officer, expanding her responsibilities to include enterprise marketing strategy and performance. In this role, she will lead customer, brand, marketing, communications, public affairs, and community impact strategies across the company. Her expanded remit supports The Raley’s Companies’ focus on customer engagement, brand relevance, and growth across its family of grocery businesses.

Barsotti previously served as Chief Communications Officer for The Raley’s Companies and President of fieldTRUE, where she led communications, government affairs, community impact, and strategic initiatives tied to local food systems. A founding member of fieldTRUE, now part of The Raley’s Companies, she helped build the fresh food business before moving into broader enterprise leadership. Earlier in her career, she worked in public policy for the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C., and California.

Why this matters: The Raley’s Companies’ appointment of Barsotti signals a stronger push to connect marketing, communications, public affairs, and community impact under one enterprise leader. For a family-owned grocery company operating in a competitive regional market, the move reinforces the importance of brand trust, local relevance, and customer engagement as growth levers.
