AWP Safety has appointed Craig Young as Chief Information Officer. In this role, he will shape the company’s enterprise technology strategy and lead efforts to unify its digital capabilities as it advances its modernization agenda. The appointment puts Young at the center of AWP Safety’s push to strengthen technology infrastructure, improve operational responsiveness, and support customer innovation across its safety services platform.
Young brings more than three decades of enterprise technology leadership experience to the role. He joins AWP Safety from Tillman FiberCo, where he served as Chief Technology Officer, and previously held the role of Global Chief Information Officer at SWIFT. Earlier in his career, he also held senior leadership positions at Verizon and Verizon Wireless, focused on consumer commerce and enterprise platforms.
Why this matters: This appointment signals that AWP Safety sees technology as a core operating lever, not just a support function. Bringing in a leader with experience across telecom, financial infrastructure, and enterprise-scale digital transformation suggests the company is investing in a more connected, data-driven model as infrastructure customers demand greater speed, visibility, and service reliability.
