FirstEnergy has appointed Daniel Puscas as Chief Information Officer. In this role, he will oversee the company’s enterprise technology, digital platforms, cybersecurity, infrastructure, enterprise platforms, and digital business services. His appointment supports FirstEnergy’s focus on system reliability, technology modernization, data-driven operations, and improved customer and employee experience.
Puscas brings more than 20 years of experience leading technology and operations transformations. He most recently served as a Partner at Fortium Partners, advising companies on technology strategy, operational improvements, restructuring, and interim Chief Information Officer leadership. Earlier, he spent more than two decades at AlixPartners in Chief Information Officer and senior operating leadership roles, and previously served as Senior Vice President at Comerica after beginning his career with IBM Corporation.
Why this matters: FirstEnergy’s appointment of Puscas signals a stronger focus on enterprise-wide technology transformation as utilities modernize the systems that support grid reliability, cybersecurity, and customer operations. His background across Fortium Partners, AlixPartners, Comerica, and IBM gives FirstEnergy a technology leader with experience in complex operating environments, platform modernization, restructuring, and digital execution.
