Ameriflight has appointed David Harvey as President and Chief Executive Officer. Harvey will lead the cargo airline as it enters its next phase of growth, with a focus on expanding its customer base, diversifying revenue and pursuing new growth opportunities. He brings more than 25 years of aviation leadership experience spanning airlines, charter aviation, cargo and global travel. Ameriflight
Harvey most recently advised airlines, travel technology companies and enterprise clients on commercial strategy, sales effectiveness, distribution and AI-enabled transformation. Previously, he served as Chief Commercial Officer at Wheels Up, overseeing global marketing, sales, pricing and revenue management. Before Wheels Up, Harvey spent more than two decades at Southwest Airlines, ultimately serving as Chief Sales Officer after holding leadership roles across corporate strategy, network planning, commercial performance and technology. Why this matters: Harvey’s appointment brings a commercially focused aviation executive to Ameriflight as the company looks to expand beyond its established cargo and feeder operations. His experience across Southwest Airlines and Wheels Up gives Ameriflight leadership exposure to both large-scale airline operations and private aviation, which could support broader customer diversification and new revenue opportunities while maintaining the reliability required in time-sensitive cargo operations.
