Albertsons Companies has appointed Emily Turner as Chief Marketing Officer. In her new role, Turner will lead the company’s enterprise marketing strategy across the functions that drive customer growth and engagement. Her mandate includes strengthening how Albertsons connects with customers across its portfolio of grocery brands while supporting deeper loyalty and long-term growth.
Turner joins Albertsons from The Fresh Market, where she served as Chief Marketing Officer and established the company’s enterprise marketing function while leading marketing and digital transformation initiatives. Before The Fresh Market, she served as Chief Marketing Officer at Dollar Tree and held marketing leadership responsibilities across Dollar Tree and Family Dollar. Earlier, Turner spent nearly nine years at dunnhumby in customer engagement and retail media roles, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Customer Engagement and Media for the Americas.
Why this matters: Turner’s appointment brings a marketer with direct experience across grocery, value retail, loyalty, customer data and retail media as Albertsons works to strengthen customer engagement. Her background at The Fresh Market, Dollar Tree and dunnhumby could help Albertsons connect its scale with more personalized, data-driven marketing across its national portfolio.
