Erica Smith Appointed CFO at Klaviyo

Klaviyo has appointed Erica Smith as Chief Financial Officer, effective September 1, 2026. In this role, she will oversee the company’s global financial operations, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, tax, treasury, internal audit, and investor relations. She succeeds Amanda Whalen, who will remain with Klaviyo through the transition before moving into an advisory role.

Smith joins Klaviyo from CyberArk, recently acquired by Palo Alto Networks, where she served as Chief Financial Officer. She brings more than 20 years of financial leadership and investor relations experience across high-growth technology companies. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles at Demandware, where she helped guide investor relations, public company communications, financing activity, and long-term financial planning.

Why this matters: Klaviyo’s appointment of Smith comes as the company expands internationally, moves further upmarket, and builds out a broader multi-product platform. Bringing in a CFO with public-company finance experience across CyberArk and Demandware signals a focus on disciplined scaling, investor confidence, and financial execution as Klaviyo grows beyond its core marketing automation base.
