KFC has appointed Amy Ellis Durini as Global Chief Brand Officer, effective November 1, 2026. In the newly created role, she will lead KFC’s global brand strategy across brand, loyalty, retail, new concept development and innovation. Durini will also work with marketing leaders across markets to modernize the KFC brand and customer experience globally.
Durini joins KFC from Taco Bell International, where she most recently served as Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer and led initiatives spanning marketing, digital, value and customer experience across international markets. Before joining Taco Bell in 2021, she spent eight years in marketing leadership roles across KFC Global and KFC Latin America & Caribbean. Her career within Yum! Brands has given her extensive experience building and adapting global restaurant brands across diverse markets.
Why this matters: Creating a Global Chief Brand Officer role signals that KFC is bringing brand strategy, loyalty, retail and innovation under more unified global leadership. Durini’s experience across both Taco Bell and KFC gives the company a leader who understands how Yum! Brands translates global brand platforms into culturally relevant local experiences, an important capability as KFC works to modernize the brand across markets.
