Core Scientific has appointed Jay Elms as Chief Commercial Officer. In his new role, Elms will be responsible for growing customer relationships and overseeing the customer experience from initial engagement through infrastructure deployment. He will also help align the company’s commercial strategy with site selection, development and construction as Core Scientific expands its high-density colocation business for AI workloads. Elms joins Core Scientific from CyrusOne, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President of Global Sales. Before CyrusOne, he spent nearly seven years as Vice President of Global Sales at NTT Global Data Centers Americas, leading commercial engagements with hyperscale and wholesale customers. Earlier in his career, he held sales leadership roles at View, Schneider Electric and Siemens, building more than two decades of experience across data centers, infrastructure, and enterprise technology.
