Ralph Lauren has appointed John Opala as Chief Information Security Officer. In his new role, Opala will work across the organization to advance cybersecurity as a strategic enabler of innovation, resilience and trust. He will lead the company’s cybersecurity strategy as Ralph Lauren continues to strengthen its digital operations and enterprise security capabilities.
Opala joins Ralph Lauren from HanesBrands, where he served as Vice President of IT and Global Chief Information Security Officer, overseeing global IT infrastructure and cybersecurity. Previously, he served as Vice President of IT and Global Chief Information Security Officer at McCormick & Company, leading cybersecurity risk remediation and response initiatives. Earlier in his career, he was Director of Cyber Security Engineering & Operations at Sealed Air Corporation. He also held an enterprise architecture leadership role at Cisco focused on cloud and cybersecurity.
