LSEG has appointed Jonathan Lofthouse as Chief Information Officer, Data & Analytics, effective September 21, 2026. Based in New York, he will help shape how the company uses artificial intelligence, modern engineering and its extensive data assets to develop the next generation of products and capabilities. His mandate will include scaling AI capabilities and strengthening the engineering technology stack across LSEG’s Data & Analytics division.
Lofthouse joins LSEG after a 29-year career at Citi, where he most recently served as Group Chief Information Officer. He joined Citi through its technology graduate program in 1997 and went on to lead technology across Markets, Services, Banking, Wealth and Consumer businesses. His earlier roles included Co-Chief Information Officer, Head of Markets Technology, Head of Macro Technology and Head of Rates Technology, giving him extensive experience across financial markets, engineering and enterprise technology transformation.
Why this matters: Lofthouse’s appointment brings one of banking’s most experienced technology executives into LSEG as financial market infrastructure becomes increasingly shaped by AI, data and modern engineering.
