Compass Pathways has appointed Kelley Boucher as Chief People Officer, effective September 30, 2026. She will oversee the company’s people strategy, initially focusing on preparing the organization for the planned launch of COMP360 psilocybin in the first half of 2027, subject to FDA approval. Her mandate includes strengthening organizational capabilities and supporting Compass as it prepares to evolve from a clinical-stage biotechnology company toward commercial operations. Compass Pathways
Boucher joins Compass Pathways from Apellis Pharmaceuticals, where she served as Chief People Officer. Previously, she was Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, helping guide the company’s transition from a research-focused organization into a global commercial-stage biotechnology business. Earlier in her career, she held senior human resources leadership roles at Abiomed and Shire and began her career at Syntonix Pharmaceuticals and Digitas. Compass Pathways
Why this matters: Boucher’s appointment comes at a critical organizational transition as Compass prepares for a potential regulatory approval and commercial launch of COMP360. Her experience supporting biotechnology companies through growth and commercialization, particularly at Alnylam and Apellis, gives Compass a people leader familiar with building the organizational structure and culture required to move from clinical development into commercial execution.
