Clarivate has appointed Michael Easton as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective August 8, 2026. In this role, he will help advance the company’s strategic priorities, including accelerating growth, improving profitability, strengthening free cash flow generation, and supporting long-term value creation. He succeeds Jonathan Collins, who is leaving the company to pursue another opportunity.
Easton has been with Clarivate since June 2022, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Accounting Officer. In that role, he was responsible for global controllership, financial reporting, treasury, and corporate financial planning and analysis. Before joining Clarivate, he held senior finance leadership roles at IHS Markit and spent more than a decade at Ernst & Young.
Why this matters: Clarivate’s appointment of Easton signals a focus on finance continuity, operational discipline, and internal leadership depth as the company works to improve growth, profitability, and cash flow. Elevating a finance leader already embedded in Clarivate’s controllership, reporting, treasury, and planning functions gives the company a CFO with direct knowledge of its operating priorities and value creation agenda.
