Monte Carlo has appointed Nik Acheson as Chief Data and AI Officer. In his new role, Acheson will help advance the company’s AI strategy as Monte Carlo expands its agent trust capabilities. His focus will include helping enterprises improve the reliability, performance and trustworthiness of autonomous AI agents operating in production environments.
Acheson joins Monte Carlo from Highmark Health, where he led enterprise-wide data and AI strategy, architecture and engineering. Earlier in his career, he held data and digital transformation leadership roles at Nike and Zendesk. He also served as Chief Data Officer at Okera, acquired by Databricks, and held a data leadership role at Dremio, acquired by SAP.
Why this matters: Acheson’s appointment comes as Monte Carlo expands from data observability into the emerging agent trust category, where enterprises need greater visibility into how autonomous AI systems behave in production. His experience leading data and AI programs across highly regulated enterprises and technology companies gives Monte Carlo an executive who has dealt directly with the reliability and governance challenges its platform is designed to address.
