Energy Vault has appointed Nitin Dahiya, CFA, as Chief Financial Officer, effective July 27, 2026. In this role, he will help strengthen the company’s capital strategy, support efficient capital allocation, and expand engagement with global institutional investors. His appointment comes as Energy Vault continues scaling across energy storage, infrastructure ownership, AI compute infrastructure, and software-enabled energy management.
Dahiya joins Energy Vault from BlackRock, where he served as Senior Portfolio Manager and Investment Committee member within the firm’s Direct Private Opportunities group. He led investments and structured financing transactions across specialty finance, energy, energy transition, infrastructure, private credit, and special situations. Earlier in his career, he held investment and capital markets roles at Paulson & Co., KLS Diversified Asset Management, Nomura, and Barclays Capital, formerly Lehman Brothers.
Why this matters: Energy Vault’s appointment of Dahiya signals a stronger focus on institutional capital formation as the company expands from energy storage technology into a broader global power infrastructure platform. His background at BlackRock and other investment firms gives Energy Vault finance leadership aligned with structured financing, capital allocation, and investor engagement, all important as the company pursues asset ownership, AI infrastructure, and large-scale energy projects.
