Markel has appointed Phil Jones as Chief Information Officer, International. Jones most recently served as Global Chief Information Officer at Aspen Insurance Group. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at the UK Ministry of Defence and Atos Consulting, building experience across insurance, government technology, and large-scale transformation. That background gives him a mix of operational, security, and enterprise technology leadership as he steps into the role at Markel.
