Bain & Company has appointed Raghu Valluri as Chief Data & Technology Officer. In the role, he will help shape the data and AI foundation supporting Bain’s work as artificial intelligence becomes more deeply embedded across client organizations. His mandate includes strengthening the governed, AI-ready data capabilities needed to support the firm’s technology and consulting priorities.
Valluri joins Bain after more than five years at Capital One, where he most recently served as Vice President, Data/Analytics/ML/AI and led data and analytics initiatives for Credit Card Technology. Before Capital One, he was Senior Director of Nike Technology, leading global software and platform engineering teams across data, analytics and infrastructure. Earlier in his career, Valluri held technology leadership roles at FamilyCare Health and Standard Insurance, following experience at Intel and IBM.
Why this matters: Valluri’s appointment signals Bain is strengthening its internal data and technology leadership as AI becomes increasingly central to both consulting delivery and client transformation. His experience building enterprise-scale data, machine learning and technology organizations across Capital One and Nike gives Bain an operator with direct experience creating the foundations required to move AI from experimentation into production.
