The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has announced the appointment of Raman Mehta as Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President. In this role, he will lead Goodyear’s global IT and digital strategy, with a mandate centered on technology adoption at industrial scale, digital transformation, and enterprise platform modernization. The appointment places Mehta in charge of a broad technology agenda across the company’s global operations.
Before joining Goodyear, Mehta most recently served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Johnson Electric. Earlier in his career, he held executive technology leadership roles at Visteon, Fabrinet, and EWIE, building experience across automotive, manufacturing, and industrial technology environments in North America and Asia. Under his leadership, three organizations received the CIO 100 Award for technology innovation and business value creation.
Why this matters: Bringing in a CIO from Johnson Electric signals that Goodyear is prioritizing enterprise-wide digital execution, not just incremental IT modernization. In a manufacturing business where data architecture, supply chain resilience, and connected operations increasingly shape competitiveness, this appointment suggests a stronger push to align technology leadership with operational transformation.
