Reema Jain Appointed CIO at Unilever

Unilever has appointed Reema Jain as Chief Information Officer. In the role, she will lead the company’s global technology strategy, with a focus on scaling digital capabilities and embedding AI more deeply into core business operations. She steps into the role as Unilever continues expanding its AI-driven transformation agenda, reporting into the company’s broader digital and technology leadership structure.

Jain brings more than two decades of experience in enterprise technology and digital transformation. Before taking on the CIO role, she served as Global Vice President, Digital Technology and Site Lead for Unilever’s Global Capability Center in India, where she led technology foundations and enterprise architecture efforts. Prior to rejoining Unilever, she was Chief Information and Digital Officer at Hero MotoCorp, and earlier held senior digital leadership roles at Vodafone Idea Limited, Mphasis, and General Electric.

Why this matters: Unilever’s appointment of a CIO with experience across consumer goods, telecom, and industrial technology signals that the company sees digital infrastructure and AI as operating priorities, not just innovation themes. Elevating a leader with both internal knowledge and external transformation experience suggests Unilever is positioning technology more directly at the center of supply chain agility, enterprise modernization, and data-led decision-making across a global consumer business.
