ADM has appointed Ruben D. Chacon as Vice President and Global Chief Information Security Officer. In this role, he will work across the organization to strengthen cyber resilience, build on the cybersecurity team’s existing capabilities, and protect the company’s critical technology assets. His mandate brings responsibility for advancing security across a complex global enterprise spanning corporate technology and operational environments.
Chacon joins ADM from Eaton, where he served as Global Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer and led cybersecurity strategy across a large global manufacturing footprint. Before Eaton, he served as Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer at CDW and Constellation Brands. Earlier, he held cybersecurity and information protection leadership roles at Mondelēz International, The Coca-Cola Company, and Kraft Foods Group. His earlier career also included technology roles at Siemens.
Why this matters: ADM operates a globally distributed industrial and supply chain environment where cyber resilience must extend beyond corporate systems into operational infrastructure. Chacon’s experience protecting manufacturing environments at Eaton, combined with security leadership across technology, consumer and food businesses, gives ADM a CISO with relevant experience managing risk across complex global operations. His appointment also reinforces the growing importance of integrating enterprise IT and operational technology security under a unified cyber strategy.
