Ayar Labs has announced the appointment of Vivek Gupta as its first Chief Strategy Officer. In his new role, Gupta will oversee Ayar Labs’ global strategy, customer engagement, and product functions to help drive market adoption of optical I/O. Before joining Ayar Labs, Gupta was the Global Telco Industry Lead for Google Cloud, where he focused on GenAI and B2B platform solutions. Earlier, he held business leadership roles at Qualcomm, and before that at Atheros Communications, which was later acquired by Qualcomm. His background spans business strategy, commercialization, and product innovation across cloud, telecom, and semiconductor markets.
