Zane Thomas-Rogers Appointed COO at Caribou Coffee

Caribou Coffee has appointed Zane Thomas-Rogers as Chief Operations Officer. In the role, he will bring a stronger field-centric focus to coffeehouse operations, helping ensure strategic decisions translate into better execution, product quality and guest experience across the business. The appointment comes as Caribou sharpens the COO role around coffeehouse operations and operational excellence, with warehouse management and logistics moving under its supply chain organization.

Thomas-Rogers joins Caribou Coffee from Raising Cane’s, where he most recently worked in operations leadership. He brings more than 15 years of experience leading large, complex operations across company-owned and franchised restaurant brands. His background includes building high-performing teams and using data-driven decision-making to improve operational performance across multi-unit restaurant environments.

Why this matters: Caribou Coffee is reshaping its operating model around more hands-on leadership as it expands a network of more than 800 coffeehouses worldwide. Bringing in an operator with experience in scaled restaurant operations at Raising Cane’s could help Caribou strengthen execution at the store level while balancing guest experience, technology adoption and measured expansion.
