Takara Bio USA, Inc. has appointed Andrew Farmer as President and Chief Executive Officer. In this role, he will oversee the overall management of Takara Bio USA while continuing to build on the company’s leadership in life science research tools and biotechnology innovation. He succeeds Carol Lou, who retired after serving as President and Chief Executive Officer.
Farmer has served as Chief Scientific Officer and Head of Research and Development at Takara Bio USA since 2017. Before that, he was Vice President of Research and Development at the company, where he helped advance product innovation and scientific programs. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles in cell and molecular biology at BD Biosciences.
