Panera Bread has appointed Andrew Rebhun as Chief Marketing Officer. In his new role, Rebhun will lead all aspects of marketing, including Brand & Creative, Digital & Loyalty, Menu Innovation and Media. He will join Panera’s executive leadership team and report to Chief Executive Officer Paul Carbone.
Rebhun joins Panera from CAVA, where he served as Chief Marketing & Experience Officer and oversaw brand, marketing, digital, loyalty, communications, catering and guest experience during a period of national expansion. Previously, he served as Chief Marketing Officer at El Pollo Loco, leading its marketing and digital transformation, including loyalty and e-commerce growth. Earlier in his career, Rebhun held several marketing leadership roles at McDonald’s, where he helped scale digital and delivery initiatives.
Why this matters: Rebhun’s appointment adds a restaurant marketer with direct experience across brand transformation, digital commerce and loyalty as Panera continues its broader business transformation. His track record at CAVA, El Pollo Loco and McDonald’s gives Panera leadership experience spanning both high-growth fast-casual concepts and large-scale restaurant systems, capabilities that could be important as the brand works to deepen customer engagement and drive demand.
