Parexel has appointed Boris Braylyan as Chief Data & Digital Officer. In this role, he will lead the company’s enterprise data and digital initiatives, helping strengthen clinical development capabilities and deliver greater value for biopharmaceutical customers. His mandate includes advancing Parexel’s data strategy, digital transformation, and technology-enabled clinical research operations.
Braylyan brings more than two decades of technology leadership experience across regulated industries and life sciences. Before joining Parexel, he spent 20 years at Pfizer, where he led large-scale IT transformation programs across clinical trials, regulatory operations, enterprise AI, automation, cloud modernization, and data governance. At Parexel, he previously served as Senior Vice President, Data & Technology, overseeing the company’s enterprise data and technology strategy.
Why this matters: Parexel’s appointment of Braylyan signals a stronger emphasis on data, AI, and digital infrastructure as clinical research organizations look to accelerate trial delivery and improve operational transparency. His Pfizer background gives Parexel direct experience in regulated life sciences transformation, which is increasingly important as sponsors expect CRO partners to combine scientific expertise with scalable digital execution.
