Micron Technology has appointed Dr. Scott DeBoer as President and Chief Technology and Products Officer. In his expanded role, DeBoer will advance Micron’s memory and storage technology roadmap, accelerate product innovation and oversee the company’s core technology, engineering and product development functions. He will also lead Micron Research Labs, the company’s research hub focused on breakthrough memory and compute technologies.
DeBoer joined Micron in 1995 as a process technology engineer and has since held a series of increasingly senior technical and executive roles. He became Vice President of Process Research and Development in 2007, Executive Vice President of Technology Development in 2017 and Executive Vice President of Technology and Products in 2019. During his tenure, he has helped lead the development and delivery of 15 technology nodes, holds more than 120 U.S. patents and has authored dozens of technical publications.
